Russia's energy plan for terrorism has failed, – an opposition journalist named the obvious reasons

In the fall of 2022, Russia launched massive rocket attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Thus, the enemy wanted to morally destabilize the situation in the country by taking away the most important communications. However, his plan failed and, in all likelihood, was abandoned.

This broadcast of Channel 24 was announced by Russian opposition journalist Michael Nucky. He added that, despite everything, Russian missile strikes continue, in particular to track Ukrainian air defense.

Russia has abandoned energy terrorism

Russian opposition journalist Michael Nucky said that after the setbacks, Russia likely abandoned its plan for energy terrorism against Ukraine. However, the shelling did not stop, because she changed tactics.

“They are trying to at least hit somewhere in terms of air defense and calculate it. It turns out that, fortunately, it is not very good for them. Let's hope that soon they will not succeed at all due to the shortage of missiles and due to the effective operation of air defense,” an opposition journalist said.

Why the plan failed

Michael Naki calls the first reason that Russia did not take into account the possibility of quick repair work, which Ukrainian power engineers carried out around the clock, tirelessly. As well as support from other countries.

“After the first blow, there should have been a redistribution to other substations. The second blow should have been directed at them so that the number of these working substations decreases and the load on the workers increases. In the long term, this may come to naught. But this plan does not work when there are repairs, generators, assistance from other countries for the redistribution of energy,” the speaker explained.

The second reason is time. Russia chose autumn as the beginning of shelling, when there were no severe frosts yet. Ukraine was determined to continue such actions even in the winter, so it went through all the acute phases and managed to quickly adapt.

It was worth waiting for the big cold, when it would really be a problem, and then throwing a lot of blows so that everything turned off. This plan initially looked strange, – Michael Nucky shared.

Russia's latest strikes on Ukraine: Zaporozhye

  • On the night of March 2, the Russians attacked Zaporozhye. The invaders got into a multi-storey residential building.
  • By morning, it became known about 2 dead. Rescuers pulled 11 people out of the rubble. Among them was a pregnant woman. Another victim spent 5 hours under the rubble.
  • Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to the attack and once again called it terror from Russia. He added that Russian criminals will be responsible for this.
