Russians are deploying a third army corps to Ukraine. But the beginning of the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the South, probably, somewhat changed the plans as to where exactly these troops would be concentrated. h2>
So, the forces of this corps can be thrown into the Donetsk or Crimean directions. This Channel 24 was told by military expert Pavel Narozhny.
According to him, in the Crimean direction, these troops may be needed to reinforce, but in the Donetsk direction, they will be needed to force our troops withdraw forces from the Kherson direction.
This is also indicated by the current situation in the East. There, the Russians periodically make some kind of tactical offensives and shell settlements.
Narozhny believes that this is not any serious action. So the occupiers remind of themselves. Like, we are here, we are combat-ready, we can shoot and attack, so do not withdraw troops to the Kherson direction – to where they are needed most now.
What is the potential at the enemy in the East
The military expert does not believe that the Russians have plans for a serious offensive in the East, in particular, in the Bakhmut and Avdeevsky directions. He is convinced that if this were the case, we would not hear about single shelling of Ukrainian positions, but, for example, about three days of continuous artillery fire. Then we would talk about a completely different scale and intensity of hostilities than now.
What is known about the third army corps: briefly
- The third army corps was formed recently. The occupiers were in a hurry to collect new reserves, so they did not have time to fully equip the corps.
- At first it was planned that approximately 15 thousand personnel could be recruited into this grouping. However, this was not done – now there are 10.5 – 11.5 thousand infidels there.
- There is information that older people with poor physical fitness were also recruited there. However, it is too early to talk about the combat capability of the corps. It can only be tested directly in combat.
