The Ukrainian military is succeeding in advancing in the direction of Kherson. However, the Russian military often sets up the Armed Forces of Ukraine – they hit the occupied territories, and blame the Ukrainian side.
Yury Sobolevsky, First Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Regional Council, told Channel 24 about this. According to him, at the present time, at the request of the Ukrainian military, information silence is being maintained on the course of events on the left bank of the Dnieper.

The Russian military in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson is using a tactic that is to undermine the reputation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to him, such slander from the Russians is absolutely contrary to reality. “They cover with Grads, cannon artillery, mortar systems. There, in general, we can’t talk about some kind of high accuracy, they just fire at residential areas,” said the first deputy chairman of the Kherson Regional Council.
The situation with the capture of Oleshki
The settlement of Oleshki on the left bank of the Kherson region is still occupied by the Russians.

He explained that the alleged liberation of the Big Potemkin Island, which stretches between the two banks of Kherson, the Ukrainian side will not comment on either, because this can also harm the further positive development of events.

“Our military is doing a very cool job and now they are beating the enemy very hard. The liberation of the right-bank Kherson region is the best example of what they can do,” added the first deputy chairman of the Kherson Regional Council.
Sobolevsky urged not to comment on any advances at the front without official comments from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
