Occupiers are pulling heavy artillery and rocket-volley fire systems to the border between the occupied Crimea and Kherson region. Probably, this is done to prepare for battles with the Armed Forces of Ukraine for this territory.
A representative of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Motuzyanyk said this during a briefing, Channel 24 reports.
According to Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, such actions of the enemy can be explained by two reasons:
- “Firstly, this is a kind of maneuver of” pinning down troops “so that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are in those areas and do not move to other operational zones,” he says.
- Secondly, as Motuzyanyk noted, Russia puts its the goal, in addition to the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, is also to capture the Kherson region.
Therefore, we expect that this enemy equipment is there (on the border between Crimea and Kherson region – channel 24) and can be used, – said the speaker of the Ministry of Defense.
By the way, Kherson has been under Russian occupation for about 2 months. Major-General of the SBU reserve Viktor Yagun emphasized that in order to dismiss the city, it is necessary not only to accumulate weapons, but also to wait for the possibility of an offensive.
