Russian invaders tried to bombard Kharkiv on the night of Independence Day. But, fortunately, they did not succeed, because the missiles decided not to hit the Ukrainian city.
The first rocket exploded in the air, and the second fell on the territory of the Chuguevsky region. So there were no “arrivals” in Kharkov itself at night.
According to preliminary data, no one was injured as a result of the fall of a deadly shell in the Chuguev region.

During the day, the Russians shelled Kharkiv, as well as Kharkiv and Bogodukhovsky districts of the region.
At about 9 am on August 24, the enemy arranged for the Shevchenkovsky district of Kharkov. Damage received education. There were no casualties among the population.
The most active Russians opened fire on the village of Malaya Danilovka in the Kharkov region. There, private houses and outbuildings were destroyed. In addition, several fires broke out. In the Kharkiv and Bogodukhovsky districts, grass was burning in large open areas due to shelling.
During the day, 2 residents of the region were hospitalized with injuries. These are men aged 39 and 48 from Malaya Danilovka.
On the collision line, the enemy continues to fire at our positions from tanks, combat vehicles, cannon and rocket artillery. In the area of Izyum, the invaders tried to advance in the direction of Pasek-Dolina, but under the fire of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they retreated with losses, – said Oleg Sinegubov, chairman of the UVA. Often the sirens were turned on in the Kharkiv region. In total, during the day, local residents had to go down to the shelter 13 times.
