The situation in the temporarily occupied Melitopol is becoming more tense every day. It is likely that the Russian invaders are preparing to hold a pseudo-referendum.
The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, spoke about this on the air of a nationwide marathon, Channel 24 reports. However, the resistance of the townspeople is unbending.
As he noted, a few days ago the Russians began to collect lists of people in the library. Obviously, they do it with “good intentions”, but the goal of the occupiers is different.
The Russians “hide behind” and say that due to the fact that 80% of unemployed people in the city, they collect personal data on education, age in order to “help with work”.
However, we clearly understand that in this way they are trying to restore the register of those people who today remained in the city of Melitopol, and use it. Apparently, unfortunately, they are preparing for some kind of “referendum,” the mayor of the city explained.
This has already been heard in some parts of the temporarily occupied Kherson. The Russians also continue to collect data in Melitopol.
