The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Russians continue to attack the positions of Ukrainian defenders. In particular, they bombard Ugledar.
On the air of Channel 24, the press officer of the 68th separate jaeger brigade, Yevgeny Nazarenko, noted that their brigade was standing near Ugledar. According to him, now the situation has stabilized, although the Russians continue to try to storm their positions. However, now they do it in much smaller volumes, because they have run out of guys from the marines of the 155th brigade.
Yevgeny Nazarenko noted that they ended during attempts at past assaults. They were destroyed by Ukrainian brigades holding defenses in that area.
The press officer said that, despite the losses, the Russians are still standing on the outskirts of Ugledar. They occupied all the so-called Ugledar dachas and sometimes stormed from there.
I don't know why, because they are downstairs and we are upstairs. Obviously, they have such an order. They were brought new mobilized meat, because it was necessary to replace those guys from the 155th brigade who can no longer attack for certain reasons, – Yevgeny Nazarenko said.
“There was such a situation 2 days ago that they entered our positions at night. We retreated, but after an hour or 2 we recaptured these positions back. That is, the positions changed hands 2 times during the night,” recalled Nazarenko.
He added that now the Russian offensive is not at all what it was – there is no such dense artillery fire, Russian aviation rarely appears. So far, the Russians have been consistently going to die on Ukrainian positions, but not as actively as before.
