Chinese companies are suspending supplies of raw materials for pharmaceuticals. This is due to sanctions against the aggressor country.

Previously, Russia had difficulties with purchasing and manufacturing medicines, but now this process is almost impossible. Economist Maxim Blunt told Channel 24 that Russians are expecting a shortage of medicines, but the simplest pharmaceuticals, in particular aspirin, will remain.

Problems in Russia

Maxim Blunt noted that Russia also had problems with medical supplies before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

This was partly a deliberate policy of the Russian government, since there were bans on the import of certain drugs, so the population suffered, he said.

Due to China's refusal to supply raw materials for medicines to Russia's mortality rate may increase, and medicines will become a luxury.

Interesting. Prices have increased significantly in Russia, but funeral services have become especially expensive. The cost of digging graves in some cities has increased 8 times, and coffins have become 3-4 times more expensive. For example, in the Ryazan region the price of a coffin increased from 1,700 to 7,500 rubles, and cremation in Moscow – from 16,600 to 37,700 rubles.

The economist believes that the aggressor country will provide its citizens with pills that will help with simple illnesses, in particular colds.

Such drugs will remain in Russia, and a serious problem is expected with drugs against serious illnesses. However, it was there before, but now it will get even worse, – he emphasized.

Maxim Blunt added that many things that were once familiar to Russians are gradually becoming luxury items. This is due to the fact that the government invests a lot of money in the military industry, but there is not always enough money for imports.
