Russian troops are not capable of carrying out a large-scale crossing of the Dnieper in the Kherson region. Currently, their actions are limited to reconnaissance and search operations.
This was stated on the air of the United News telethon by the representative of the Southern Defense Forces Vladislav Voloshin.
The enemy is conducting reconnaissance operations
According to Voloshin, as of December 25, Russian troops have not collected enough offensive forces and resources to force the Dnieper.

To force the river, it is necessary to concentrate significant forces and resources, but it is practically impossible to hide such preparations from modern intelligence. At the same time, Ukrainian intelligence does not record such actions on the part of the occupiers.
A representative of the Yuyuga Defense Forces noted that the enemy conducts five to seven reconnaissance and search operations daily in the southern direction. Such actions are more reconnaissance in nature than offensive.
Voloshin also noted that Russian troops have increased the number of artillery shellings by about a third. The intensity of attacks using attack drones has also increased.
The occupiers unsuccessfully tried to force the Dnieper
On December 24, Vladislav Voloshin spoke about the enemy's attempts to create a bridgehead for the transfer of fire weapons on one of the islands or on the right bank of the Dnieper. However, there is no talk of a large-scale assault on Kherson yet.
On December 20, during a massive shelling, Russian troops tried to force the Dnieper in the direction of Kherson. During the night, the occupiers made an unsuccessful attempt to land troops at the Antonovsky Bridge, combining this with artillery strikes.
President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will respond to any attempts by the occupiers to attack Kherson or other cities of Ukraine.
