The Russians did not stop active hostilities during the “operational pause”/”The truth is HERE”

The Russian Defense Ministry announced the day before that Russian troops in Ukraine were temporarily stopping to rest and restore their combat capabilities. However, the invaders did not stop active hostilities.

This information was confirmed by specialists from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

As previously assessed by ISW, Russian forces have not ceased active hostilities during this operational pause and are unlikely to do so.

On July 7, Russian forces were still conducting limited ground offensives and air, artillery and missile strikes in all directions. Russian forces are likely to continue to be limited to small offensives, rebuilding and setting the stage for a larger offensive in the coming weeks or months. – noted in ISW.

Note that in Russia they love to boast of “achievements” in the war against Ukraine. True, over the past day, on July 7, for the first time there were no corresponding statements from the aggressor country. ISW analysts argue that the lack of reports of achievements in the war is not a mere coincidence. This is yet another confirmation that an operational pause could have been initiated in the aggressor country.

What preceded this

As a result of recent days, Russian troops:

  • achieved minor successes southeast of Seversk and continued offensive operations west of the Lisichansky region;
  • continued offensive operations south and east from Bakhmut;
  • made a limited and unsuccessful attack north of the city of Kharkov;
  • continue to create their own special volunteer units to compensate for the loss of personnel in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian partisans are likely to continue shelling Russian-controlled railroads around Melitopol. The mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov spoke about the losses of the enemy after the strike on the airfield. During the telethon, he noticed that the enemy's military base was located there.

Therefore, the well-coordinated and effective work of our military made it possible not only to destroy more than 200 infidels. Over 300 more are known to have been injured. The mayor also added that after that, collaborators in Melitopol are not very willing to go to work.
