Due to problems with the air defense of Crimea, the Russian military transferred rare radar systems from the Arctic and the Urals to the peninsula. However, this did not help, and now the Kremlin needs to review its approaches to air defense.
Khlopok in Crimea forced the Russians to send additional air defense systems in order to at least somehow condense their defense. Defense Express military expert Ivan Kirichevsky told Channel 24 about this.
The Arctic was traded for Crimea
The expert noted that the invaders dragged to the temporarily occupied Crimea radar stations (RLS), which were in service in the regions of the Urals and the Arctic, in order to cover strategic areas where military-industrial complex facilities and the so-called “Northern Sea Route” are concentrated.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the Nebo-M mobile radar station. This is a very special station. the Russians say that this radar is designed to detect ballistic missiles at a distance of up to 600 km. Obviously, the Russians were so scared that they dragged such rare radars to the south of Ukraine. – said the specialist.
Kirichevskiy stressed that the Russians recently launched the first echelon of Crimean air defenses in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region, but this did not help.
“Russian radars did not see ATACMS or Tochka-U missiles, but they did they saw it for sure – before their death. The fact that Russia is trying to deploy smaller systems like the S-300 and S-400 is an attempt to increase the density of anti-aircraft defenses on the peninsula, “the expert believes.
There are “gunners” in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Crimea
At the same time, Kirichevskiy adds that social media users posting their photos with Russian air defense systems could have worked as “gunners” for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
They have already worked as “gunners”. Even if HARM does not arrive there tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, it is obvious that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will lay routes for the supply of “cotton” in such a way as to fly around these positions. In order for the Russians to let people take pictures so close, you have to be a very uneducated anti-aircraft gunner. – noted the specialist.
He said that the Russians conducted special exercises and prepared for strikes by Ukrainian and NATO missiles, but it turned out that they were not ready for defensive actions.
such punctures happen in them. The moment is fantastic, and we still do not fully understand how fantastic it is,” Kirichevsky summed up.
The occupiers rejoice that “Yevpatoria is under protection”
- < li> A message on air defense systems in Evpatoria was published by Russian woman Marina Greshakova. She noticed that the city was protected by invaders. The young lady really wanted to show off the achievements of the aggressor country, which literally surrendered its air defense positions. And, as it turned out, the woman accidentally launched almost a flash mob.
- After all, another network user soon repeated and surpassed her achievements. He posted a photo posing in front of the S-400 system. Of course, he decided to immediately publish the photo on VKontakte in order to collect as many preferences as possible.
