Russian propaganda is spreading a fake that Andrzej Duda is the grandson of a Ukrainian nationalist. We are talking about Mikhail Duda, the commander of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, who fought against the Poles and participated in the events in Volyn in 1943.
Duda has already refuted this fake
Russian propagandists claim that Mikhail Duda “raised his grandson in the spirit of Nazism” and that is why he now supports “Ukrainian neo-Nazis.” This is how it burns in Russia because of Poland's support for Ukraine.The Center for Counteracting Disinformation emphasized that this is a fake. The fact is that Mikhail Duda could not be the grandfather of the Polish president. If only because he died in 1950 without children. Andrzej Duda's grandfather Alois Duda lived in Stary Sącz and died in 1992.

- Polish President Andrzej Duda arrived on an official visit to Kyiv on May 22. The Polish leader delivered a powerful speech to the deputies in the Verkhovna Rada and assured that relations between Ukraine and Poland would be stronger. Separately, Duda emphasized that the Ukrainians who left their home and moved to Poland, fleeing the war, are not refugees, but guests.
