All of Russia's plans for a war in Ukraine have failed miserably. However, the Russians are trying to find a way out to change the situation at the front in their favor.

Alexander Musienko, head of the Center for Military Legal Research, told Channel 24 about this. He recalled that the Russian command faced a dilemma – to strengthen the offensive in the East or the defense in the South.

The military expert stressed that the occupiers really found themselves in a difficult situation on all sectors of the front.

Enemy plans in the South

In particular, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are successfully pushing the enemy back in the Kherson region. According to Musienko, this is the right strategy for two reasons.

  • First, the Ukrainian defenders are forcing the infidels to retreat. In addition, they are destroying the enemy's logistics infrastructure and ammunition depots.
  • Secondly, because of the success of the Ukrainian army, the Russians are puzzling over how to strengthen their defenses in the South.

To do this, the invaders can overturn troops in other directions.

They are even preparing to transfer part of the units to the South from the Kharkov direction,” the military expert noted.

< p>He believes that if the invaders dare to take such a step, their positions near Kharkov will be significantly weakened.

“Good conditions for our forces”

In particular, enemy units that are now repairing equipment near Belgorod, they will not have time to come to the shift.

This creates good prerequisites for our forces. We can remove the tension ring near Kharkov and even cut off supplies to Izyum. Musienko said.

The military expert also added that the occupiers found themselves in a losing situation in the East as well. After all, their offensive actions are not successful.

“Bashing their heads against the wall”

Despite the shameful defeats at the front, Russian propaganda continues to broadcast intentions occupiers take over the South. According to Musiyenko, even if the Kremlin sends additional forces there, the infidels will not succeed.

They're banging their heads against a wall there. Everything indicates that they do not have the strength to attack,” the military expert emphasized.

What are the invaders waiting for

Therefore, according to him , the Russians are now taking a wait-and-see attitude.

Russia will drag out time as much as possible until the middle or the end of August. Many infidels are simply sitting in positions in the East or South, waiting for rotation,” Musienko said.

He said that Moscow will try to gather 20,000 troops by the end of August, which can be thrown either to replace or to replenish the Russian army.

“But this will not be a plus for those troops that already exist. Probably, who will be understaffed and who will be withdrawn,” the military expert suggested .

According to Musiyenko, there are advantages for Ukraine in this situation.

We are waiting for the accumulation of weapons and the implementation of the right strategies for the counteroffensive,” he added .
