Russians are installing anti-drone nets at oil refineries: a military expert assessed their effectiveness

Russia is trying in every possible way to protect its objects from attacks by Ukrainian drones. In particular, protective nets – “barbecues” – were spotted at the Slavyansk Oil Refinery.

Military expert Vladislav Seleznev on air 24 Channel appreciated their effectiveness. Also, next to the tanks, the occupiers installed mobile electronic warfare units of the “Groza-S” type.

Are Russian “barbecues” effective

Russian occupiers are adapting their activities, in particular their defense, to modern conditions of warfare. This is due to the implementation of certain algorithms that are required to enhance the survivability of companies and structures that are fundamental to the Russian economy.

Using grids in a certain way makes it possible to protect enemy oil refineries from the influence of Ukrainian drones. When used in conjunction with physical barriers, electronic warfare and air defense, it poses significant challenges for our drone operators. At the same time, a single use will not have an effect.

Only through the massive use of drones can hostile resistance be bypassed. War is a competition of technologies. I am sure that our drone operators will find opportunities and options on how to use UAVs that are most accurate and painful for the enemy. So that the enemy loses, and does not have reliable protection, no matter what we can overcome,” said Vladislav Seleznev.

Drones attacked Slavyansky Refinery

• On the night of April 27, Ukrainian drones carried out a massive raid on the Krasnodar region of Russia. The drones hit the Slavyansk-EKO oil refinery and the Ilsky oil refinery, where distillation and atmospheric columns, which are key technological facilities of the plants, were hit.
• The Russians reported that the air defense ” shot down” and “intercepted” 66 Ukrainian UAVs over the territory of the Krasnodar Territory.
• It was the Security Service of Ukraine, as well as the partisans, who were behind the attack on Russian oil refineries against April 27. /li>
• We would like to add that on March 17, there were also explosions at this plant and a large-scale fire broke out. Then the Russians heard at least 7 loud explosions.
