Protective hangars for aircraft are being built in Russia/Collage 24 Channel

300 kilometers from the border with Ukraine, the Russians began to build airfield hangars to protect aircraft. They strive to protect aviation from attack drones and missiles with cluster warheads.

Satellite images confirming the new developments of the occupiers appeared on the social network X. However, they are probably unlikely to protect Russian equipment even from debris. Therefore, the elimination of enemy aircraft will continue.

Russian protection for aircraft

In the published satellite photos you can see the construction of new hangars at the Marinovka airfield, which is located in the Volgograd region of Russia, 300 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

In particular, 12 new structures are located there, which serve as shelter for front-line Su-24 bombers and Su-34 fighter-bombers. The Russians are convinced that such hangars will be able to protect aviation from attack drones, as well as from ATACMS ballistic missile submunitions.

It should be separately noted that the use hangars will not allow satellites and other optical detection means to find out whether the hangar is empty or there is an airplane parked there, writes the media.

It is unknown what materials the hangar is made from, but journalists suggest that they have minimal protection from debris. They explain that the use of profiled sheets does not provide the necessary protection because they are small in thickness. Due to the lack of specialized stationary reinforced concrete shelters, Russian aviation is regularly declining.

Russians are modernizing airfields

Earlier, Channel 24 sources said that the Russians have actively begun the restoration and, probably, modernization of airfields in the depths of Crimea. It is said about objects in Kirovsky, or Islyam-Terek, in the region of occupied Feodosia, and in Bagerovo, in the Kerch region.

In addition to this , the Russians have placed many observation towers from Tarkhankut to Ternovaya Bay.
