Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in China on a visit. During his speech, he again spoke about “brotherhood,” but this time with the people of China.

The Russian President said that “Russian and the Chinese are brothers forever.” This is reported by Channel 24.

“Catchphrase”

During his speech, Putin allegedly remembered a phrase that “became a catchphrase.” According to him, this is something that “the Russian and the Chinese take forever.” However, it is not clear where this phrase came from and what exactly Putin meant by calling it “winged”.

At the same time, it is also worth noting that Putin also called Ukrainians brotherly peoples. He used the same thesis in relation to the Belarusians.

Negotiations between Putin and Xi Jinping

  • On the morning of May 16, Putin and Xi Jinping began negotiations. The Russian dictator was the first to make the announcement. Thus, Putin said that Moscow and Beijing have accumulated a “considerable amount of practical cooperation.”
  • The Russian president also noted that the PRC is Russia’s main partner in the trade and economic sphere. Putin stated that cooperation between Moscow and Beijing allegedly “is one of the main stabilizing factors in the international arena.”
  • At the same time, the Chinese leader said that Chinese-Russian relations ” hardened in difficult conditions, withstood the test of a changing international situation,” but today they are “the standard of relations between great powers and neighboring countries, characterized by mutual respect, trust, friendship and mutual benefit.” Xi Jinping added that China plans to continue to be “good neighbors, trusted friends and reliable partners” with Russia.
