Russians advertised a completely empty resort in North Korea: the network exploded with jokes Sofia Rozhik

North Korea filmed an advertisement for tourists with the participation of Russians/Collage 24 Channel

North Korean travel agency Korea International Travel Company has made a low-budget commercial featuring Russians. The ad appears to be an attempt to attract tourists from abroad.

The Russians are seen swimming, riding jet skis, and playing beach volleyball. The New York Post published the video.

Russians Show Off “Ideal” Vacation on a Completely Empty Beach

The ad is most likely aimed specifically at Russians. Because of the war in Ukraine, Russian citizens are not welcome at resorts around the world, so a vacation in North Korea has become an alternative for them.

The video tried to show an “ideal vacation”: morning in a hotel room, a view of the sunny Majon Beach in South Hamgyong Province, entertainment on the coast.

They have a very beautiful sea, a clean beach, lots of entertainment – you can play volleyball and ride a jet ski, – a Russian couple commented on their “vacation”.

This commercial went viral immediately after being published on one of the forums. It has garnered thousands of reactions and comments.

Commentators were particularly surprised that the women in the ad were wearing bikinis, which is banned in North Korea. And some people noticed the empty beaches.

“So many happy locals around,” joked one of the forum guests.

And another noted that the North Korean beach looks like a North Korean road – absolutely empty of people.

If I go there, I'll disappear with a 1000 percent probability, – laughed another commentator.
