March 5 2022, near the village of Schastlivoe in the Mykolaiv region, a Su-30SM of the Ukrainian air defense was shot down. The plane was hit by a missile from a Buk M-1 air defense system. The pilot who ejected was later found and taken prisoner. On the same day, it became known that another Su-30SM fighter had been shot down in the Odessa region, which fell into the sea near Odessa.
In the morning March 132022, the Ukrainian military shot down another Su-30SM aircraft of the Russian occupiers with tail number RF-81771 over the city of Izyum, in the Kharkiv region.
March 15 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down another enemy Su-30SM aircraft near Kharkov using a Buk air defense system.
