A plane from the special flight squad “Russia”, belonging to the Putin administration, spent two days in the United States. Before this, there was no official announcement about the trip of any Russian government delegation.

On Monday, December 30, propaganda media wrote that a representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, commented on this flight, reports 24 Channel.

How Russia explained the mysterious visit

According to Zakharova, the plane of the special flight detachment was carrying out another rotation of diplomats from Russia to the United States.

According to the FlightRadar service, on December 25, a special Il-96-300 flight took off from Moscow for St. Petersburg. The next day, December 26, the Il-96 flew from St. Petersburg to New York, and then, after a short stop, went on to Washington. On December 28, the plane flew from Washington to New York and from there returned to Moscow.

Previously, this plane was allegedly used by Russian officials, in particular Dmitry Medvedev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and head of foreign intelligence Sergei Naryshkin.
