Russian plant involved in Su-57 development still receives Western equipment – investigation Dmitry Usik

Despite sanctions, Russia has managed to re-equip a military plant involved in the production of the Russian Su-57 aircraft with Western equipment. The enemy is still actively purchasing foreign components that are essential for the operation of the enterprise.

This was reported by 24 Kanal with reference to an investigation by InformNapalm jointly with “Cyber Resistance”.

How the Russian plant “Mikropribor” works

Thus, the hacktivists said that surveillance of the Russian defense plant “Mikropribor”, located in the village of Konakovo in the Tver region, differs from many previous ones. It lasted for two years and became possible thanks to cooperation with a private analytical and intelligence company. In particular, it was possible to download spyware into the internal network of the plant.

From the obtained documents it became known that a significant part of the “Russian” plant is foreign capacity.

Although half of our own equipment is a pretty good result, a modern milling machine and a Soviet one are quite different devices in their value in production. Therefore, you should pay attention to the age of this or that equipment, – the hacktivists write.

The newest equipment (up to five years old) at Mikropribor is almost entirely foreign, and the share of Russia-friendly China is low. As for equipment up to 10 years old, the situation is a little better, although again half is made in Germany and Taiwan.

It is also interesting that the share of new Russian equipment at the plant 12 years ago was higher than seven years ago.

The documents also allowed us to analyze the changes after the full-scale invasion. Thus, as of the beginning of 2022, the control and measurement department of the Russian plant had four spectrum analyzers made in Germany.

“Documents show that Mikropribor continued to purchase German spectrum analyzers in 2023. The manufacturer is also becoming known: Rohde&Schwarz. OOO AMTEST supplied such and similar products worth almost 30 million rubles in January 2023,” analysts point out.

In turn, OOO Amtest does not hide anything and on its main page offers deliveries of measuring equipment “from global manufacturers to all regions of Russia.”
