Russian attack on Krivoy Rog

On the afternoon of June 12, explosions occurred in Krivoy Rog. As it later became known, the Russian army launched a missile strike on the residential sector.

The Office of the Prosecutor General subsequently reported that as of 19:11, the number of deaths as a result of the enemy attack in Krivoy Rog had increased to 9.

Due to the Russian missile attack, criminal proceedings have been initiated for violation of the laws and customs of war, coupled with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Night attack on the Kyiv region

On the night of June 12 in Kyiv, explosions were heard during an air raid raid. As it later became known that the Russians attacked the region with Shahed drones, Kh-101 and Kinzhal missiles.

The United States Department of the Treasury announced new large-scale sanctions against Russia, within the framework of which the United States imposes a ban on the provision of software and IT services to any person in the Russian Federation.

The new sanctions list includes more than 300 individuals and legal entities both in Russia and abroad, in particular in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Central Asia and the Caribbean.

Among those who came under restrictions are the Moscow Exchange, the National Clearing Center, the National Settlement Depository JSC, the Sogaz insurance company, the Russian National Reinsurance Company and others. At the same time, sanctions were imposed against Russian banks with offices in China, India, Kyrgyzstan and other countries.

Subsequently, after the introduction of sanctions, the Moscow Exchange announced the cessation of trading in the dollar and euro. The restrictions included the National Clearing Center and the National Settlement Depository, which are intermediaries in trading on the Russian foreign exchange market.

Ukraine shot down two Russian Su-57s — Power steering

A representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andrey Yusov, said that during the attack on the Akhtubinsk airfield in the Astrakhan region of Russia on June 8, two Russian Su-57 fighters were hit, and not one, as previously thought.

A Ukrainian intelligence representative again recalled that Su-57 aircraft were hit for the first time.

According to him, in general, the Russians have up to ten Su-57 fighters in service.

— They tried to bring it into mass production for a very long time, and constantly postponed these deadlines. Actually, now we are talking about piece copies, copies, piece production of up to a dozen. The enemy tried to hide and inflate the characteristics of this fighter as much as possible, calling it a fifth-generation fighter, but there are doubts about this, — he said.

Explosions in Crimea

On the night of June 12, explosions were also heard in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Subsequently it became known that the strikes were carried out by the Ukrainian Defense Forces against anti-aircraft missile divisions of the Russian Federation.

As stated by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Ukrainian troops hit targets in areas near Belbek and Sevastopol.

The military added that the explosions in Crimea on June 12 were a group missile strike on one enemy S-300 anti-aircraft missile division near Belbek, as well as two S-400 anti-aircraft missile divisions near Belbek and Sevastopol.

Announcement of security agreement with the USA

The United States plans to sign a security agreement with Ukraine tomorrow, June 13.

This was stated by White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, and subsequently indirectly confirmed by the head of the Presidential Office, Andrei Ermak.

— Tomorrow, Presidents Biden and Zelensky will discuss strong support for Ukraine now and in the future. After this meeting, the presidents will sign a security agreement that explains that our support will continue in the future, — Sullivan said.

Adviser to the US President added that the agreement provides for further cooperation between the United States and Ukraine, in particular in the field of defense.

In turn, the head of the OPU Andrey Ermak said that the signed agreement will already be the 16th.
