Today, the Moldovan leadership is negotiating with Western countries on the supply of aid. At the same time, the country is still not ready for a possible Russian invasion and hopes for neighboring countries.
During the years of corrupt authorities, Moldova has lost its defense capability, so it cannot adequately respond to the Russian threat. RISE Moldova journalist Vladimir Tkhorik told Channel 24 about this.
The expert noted that today Moldova is negotiating with the West on military assistance.

On According to him, Moldova has the right to arm itself and arming the country does not mean a violation of its status of neutrality.
“Money is needed for neutrality. At the same time, Moldova does not have a large number of bomb shelters. Many of them have been privatized. 30 years of corrupt government and criminal gangs have affected the country's defense capability. Therefore, Moldova is not protected from the Russian threat and therefore, he hopes for his neighbors – Ukraine and Romania“, added Thorik.
In his opinion, in the future there will be a “big question” whether Romania will stand up for Moldova if Russia decides to attack.
