In May 2024, the Russian commander of the 3rd parachute battalion, Guards Major Andrei Zaikin, died in the war against Ukraine. Now the details of his “liquidation” have become known.

Zaikin, to whom “heroic obituaries” were dedicated on social networks, was eliminated by a senior sergeant of his own brigade. The major tried to understand the reasons for the sergeant's group's failure to complete the previously assigned task.
