Russian Major General Vladimir Zavadsky died in Ukraine. An officer of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Anatoly Stefan, confirmed that the deputy commander of the 14th Army Corps of the Russian Federation was eliminated.
Governor of the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation Alexander Gusev also confirmed the death of 45-year-old Major General Vladimir Zavadsky in the war in Ukraine.
Various sources claim that Zavadsky could have been eliminated near the village of Krynki in the Kherson region. There, Russian troops have been trying to seize UAF bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper in recent weeks.

During 2018 – 2021, Zavadsky commanded the Kantemirovskaya tank division in the Moscow region. When he died, he was deputy commander of the 14th Army Corps of the Russian Federation.
This corps was stationed in the Murmansk region and was subordinate to the command of the Northern Fleet until the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Military analyst Konstantin Mashovets reported that the 80th Arctic Motorized Rifle Brigade, which is part of the 14th Army Corps of the Russian Federation, operates as part of the Dnepr group in the Kherson region.
According to pro-Kremlin Telegram channels, the Russian general was eliminated in the zone of responsibility of the Dnepr group, but allegedly due to a mine explosion in the rear area, and not a military clash.
