Russian invaders plan to finish off Azov by May 9, – Arestovich/Office of the President
Russians are actively preparing for the celebration of Victory Day. They are doing everything possible to coincide with the event some kind of “victory” in the war with Ukraine.
On May 4, the Russian invaders launched a big assault on Azovstal. The enemy managed to break into the territory of the enterprise and carry out powerful shelling of the plant.

According to Aleksey Arestovich, Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Office , now you can observe the implementation of one of the main tasks that the enemy set himself before May 9.
What I see clearly now is the desire of the Russians to finish off Azov. This is the kind of gift they want to present to Putin,” Arestovich said.
He added that the Russian occupiers have been actively storming Azovstal for the third day already, hot battles are already ongoing on the territory of the enterprise, where the enemy managed to break through.

- The heroic fighters of “Azov” and other units continue to hold the line. The forces of the enemy prevail at times, for more than two months the city has been in a complete blockade, and our defenders live in inhuman conditions. And despite this, they manage to accomplish a feat that the whole world has learned about.
- Fights are going on on the territory of Azovstal. There was information that the enemy had been driven out of the territory of the enterprise, but, unfortunately, it did not correspond to reality. The defenders of Mariupol demonstrate simply insane courage and hold all-round defense, preventing the enemy from winning.
- The third evacuation of people from Mariupol and Azovstal in particular is scheduled for May 6. As Irina Vereshchuk emphasized earlier, Ukraine is doing everything possible to save our heroic military, because we don’t need dead heroes. It was also reported that there are wounded soldiers on the territory of Azovstal who urgently need help.
