We are talking about the attacks ahead of parliamentary elections last year. It is noted that there was a hacked email of a former Minister of trade of the country, Liam Fox. According to sources, the hackers stole documents about the trade negotiations of Britain with the United States.
Several cyber attacks on mail Fox was recorded in the period from 12 July to 21 October 2019. The sources did not disclose the name of the hacker group, but noted that there were signs of relations with Moscow.
The British Parliament declared the beginning of investigation in connection with hacking email of the former Minister of trade and theft of documents.
In may 2020, the United Kingdom, United States and Canada began working together to identify hacker attacks, aimed at stealing research related COVID-19, including the development of vaccines. Experts expressed suspicion that the hacking attempts are Russia, Iran and China. While none of the assumptions were not confirmed.
