Russian generals will continue to tell tales to Putin/Getty Images
It's not yet clear what Vladimir Putin's crazy mind can do. It is still impossible to exclude the possibility of using banned weapons.
However, Putin understands that he has no “good” way out. Russian opposition politician Gennady Gudkov spoke about this on Channel 24.
At the same time, Putin already understands that Russian generals are deceiving him and not telling the whole truth.
Russian generals understand that they will not be killed for this, and even, probably, they will not be imprisoned. However, if they do something else, they can be killed, imprisoned and everything taken from their families,” Gudkov emphasized.
In his opinion, now this is more terrible for them than imitating some information will be “pleasing to Putin's ear.” For Putin, the situation is already critical, but not yet for the generals.
They will be able to continue playing fools and telling Putin fairy tales for another 2-3 weeks. Thus, as Gudkov noted, they cover up their inaction.
