< strong _ngcontent-sc86="">Great Britain has become one of the largest partners of Ukraine in the war against Russia. Defense Minister Ben Wallace promised that Russia will be punished for all the crimes it has committed in Ukraine.

Ben Wallace gave a speech on the war in Ukraine at the National Army Museum in London.

“The British Government – the entire United Kingdom – is in solidarity with Ukraine, supporting their courageous defense of sovereignty, territorial integrity and the simple right to peace and prosperity,” Ben Wallace assured.

The British Defense Secretary found many words in his speeches about Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and his inner circle. He said they “reflect fascism and tyranny from 70 years ago.” This was said precisely on the day when Russia celebrates “Victory Day” – May 9, which has become perhaps the main holiday for Russians.

According to Ben Wallace, Putin's actions dishonor those soldiers who gave their lives in the fight against Nazism. And now Russia itself will be defeated.

“The Russian General Staff is failing, and they know it,” said Ben Wallace.

Fixing Russia's crimes

The British Defense Secretary added that Western countries are collecting information about potential war crimes in Ukraine committed by the Russian army. Ben Wallace stated that this information will be used to “bring to justice all those responsible for these atrocities.”

“We are watching and recording,” said Ben Wallace.

Support from the UK

The British authorities support Ukraine the most in the war with Russia. The British give us weapons, thanks to which we managed to repel the advance of the enemies in the first weeks of the war. Among these weapons are NLAW anti-tank missile systems.

Also, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was not afraid to come to Kyiv while the hot phase of the war was going on. At the same time, this visit was rather unexpected.

Britain also imposed a large number of sanctions on Russia and Russians. Those oligarchs who have close ties to Putin but live in London have also been sanctioned. Among them is Roman Abramovich. Because of the sanctions, he was forced to sell the Chelsea Football Club, which was in danger of disappearing. He promised to transfer the proceeds (we are talking about the amount of 2.5 billion pounds sterling) to charity – to help the victims of the war in Ukraine.
