The SBU denied information about the ill-treatment of Russian prisoners and called this video a fake and a provocation.
The department noted that anonymous Staged videos appear on telegram channels: either about allegedly cruel treatment of captured invaders, or about mutilations and even murder of invaders.
The SBU added that often the primary source is public “cotton” direction, which are directly guided by the special services and Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Why are such videos distributed?
The reason for such publications? It's simple – the atrocities of the Russian occupiers have already shocked the whole world so much that it undermines all the myths of the “liberators”. Therefore, their goal is to shift the focus and try to convince that it is the Ukrainian military who allegedly mock the prisoners. In addition, to scare your soldiers so that they do not surrender, the SBU explains.
They stressed that such accusations are an outright lie and a large number of videos and even public press conferences of Russian prisoners are easily refuted them.
How prisoners are treated in Ukraine
The SBU emphasized that the Ukrainian military, of course, are not going to spare the invaders who have surrendered and treat them to coffee and cakes, but they only beat the invaders on the battlefield. And when they surrender, they are treated in accordance with the Geneva Convention.
And looting and rape are methods that only rashists can commit.
“The Ukrainian military has a radically different approach! Because we are on our native land, which we defend with dignity,” the SBU noted.
