9-10 times a month, Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups try to enter the territory of the Chernigov and Sumy regions bordering the Russian Federation.
This was stated by the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Sergei Naev.
“The goal of the DRG is to conduct reconnaissance of our positions and defeat military or even civilian targets,” he explained.
According to him, these are professionally trained military personnel of special operations forces and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Federation (GRU).

“That’s why we must always be on guard.” For this purpose, joint actions of the SBU, the National Guard, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Border Service, as well as combined arms units that cover the state border of Ukraine are being worked out,” Naev added.
Earlier, the State Border Guard Service stated that most of the attempts by Russian DRGs to penetrate the territory of Ukraine are recorded on the borders of the Sumy region.
