Russian Ambassador to Minsk Dmitry Mezentsev presented to the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko copies of maps of the provinces of the Russian Empire of the 19th century with the territory of the republic in its composition. BelTA writes about this.

The diplomat presented the Belarusian leader with a facsimile edition of the 1866 book, which contains topographic maps of the Vitebsk, Grodno, Minsk and Mogilev provinces of the Russian Empire. So Mezentsev congratulated Lukashenka on his last birthday.

“This is one more confirmation of the fairness of the borders of Belarus, including the answer to all those who look differently,” the ambassador said.

Earlier it was reported that Lukashenka will arrive in Russia on September 14 for talks with President Vladimir Putin. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the heads of state intend to discuss the topic of restructuring the state debt of Belarus to Moscow.
