Yemeni Houthi rebels attacked the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh. Writes about it Reuters.
According to the militants, they managed to hit a “very important target” in the city using three Samad3 drones and a Dul-Faqqar ballistic missile. They did not specify what goal they have in mind, and representatives of the kingdom have not yet commented on journalists. Rebel spokesman Yahya Saria said the attacks on Riyadh were a response from the Houthis “to constant enemy attacks and a protracted blockade of the country.”
The Houthis attacked a Saudi Arabia fighter on 15 February. Then Saria said that the plane of the “enemy forces” had been shot down by a surface-to-air missile.
The Yemeni conflict has been in an active phase since 2014. The Houthi rebels are believed to be supported by Iran and Hezbollah. Against them – the army of Yemen and the coalition of Arab countries, led by Saudi Arabia.
