President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is confident that only a victory for Ukraine can bring peace back to Europe. According to him, of course, the Kremlin is trying to undermine the socio-political system in different countries, in particular, in Moldova, but the invaders will not be able to realize their plans.
Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky, together with his Latvian counterpart Egils Levits, arrived in Lviv on March 3 and gave a press conference afterwards. 24 The channel informs about how the head of state assessed the situation in Moldova and the current position of the enemy on the battlefield.
Russia has made itself a laughingstock
According to Volodymyr Zelensky, Russia's aggressive actions in Ukraine will not stop without failure. At the same time, it is already clear to the entire civilized world that Putin will not win this war.
As the president stated, after February 24, 2022, Kyiv managed to consolidate the European Union and convince it that the Kremlin’s narratives about “saving Ukraine from the Nazis” are lies.
Also, the enemy is trying to destabilize the situation in Moldova, however, he is unlikely to succeed.
We see how they want to overturn the government of Moldova. I wonder what they are afraid of and from whom they are protected. What can Chisinau do? Capture Moscow? Everyone understands that it looks ridiculous,” Zelensky said.
In addition, he stressed that the Russian authorities failed to restore order in their country, but they climb into the affairs of other states. Oddly enough, the Kremlin is most trying to reassert its influence where the Soviet Union has long reigned.
Putin seeks coup in Moldova
- Not so long ago, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, commented on the situation in the neighboring state. He noted that Russia intends to illegally change the legitimate authorities of Moldova and even organizes protests for this with the help of pro-Russian forces that still exist in Chisinau.
- However, Podolyak also stated that the government of Moldovan President Maia Sandu is reacting rather harshly to these “rallies”, so the Kremlin should not hope for the implementation of its plans.
- At the same time, rumors do not subside that Russia may open a front from Transnistria. However, Natalya Gumenyuk, speaker of OK Yug, is convinced that this threat is theoretical. Actually, so far there is no evidence that Russia is preparing for an offensive in this sector.
