In the Kharkov region, SBU officers detained a Russian saboteur who was trying to undermine the power supply lines of railway tracks and rolling stock near a junction station.
What is known about the Russian agent
The Russian GRU agent turned out to be a local resident who planned to use an improvised explosive device to commit sabotage on the railway. The traitor received instructions for its manufacture remotely from Russian military intelligence.
The occupiers hoped, in the event of sabotage, to disrupt the logistics of fuel and ammunition supplies for the Defense Forces in the Liman direction. But the SBU exposed the enemy collaborator in advance and detained him at the stage of preparing the explosions.

During the investigation, evidence was also obtained of the defendant completing another task — he collected information about the locations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces units in Kharkov and Pavlograd, Dnepropetrovsk region.
To do this, he traveled around the terrain of both regions in the dark and secretly recorded the locations of the military.
He coordinated his actions remotely with an acquaintance — a representative of the GRU intelligence apparatus, which is located in the Russian Federation. They communicated through anonymous chats in instant messengers.
A mobile phone and other material evidence of criminal activity were found at the detainee’s home.
He was declared suspicious under Part 2 of Art. 114-2 UKU (unauthorized dissemination of information about the movement or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, committed under martial law). The issue of additional qualification of his criminal actions is also being resolved.
The suspect is currently in custody.
