In the Chernihiv region, counterintelligence officers of the Security Service of Ukraine detained a Russian agent. He collected intelligence about the deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine, and also transmitted the coordinates of local authorities and hospitals.
The Russian agent tracked the routes of movement of Ukrainian troops through the region. The invaders planned to use the obtained data for massive rocket attacks on state institutions and social facilities.
SBU detained a Russian agent in the Chernihiv region
As it turned out, the detainee is a resident of Severodonetsk. He moved to the Chernihiv region several years ago and received the status of an internally displaced person.
Henchman of infidels at the beginning of a full-scale invasion was recruited by the Russian special services. He came to the attention of the invaders because of his pro-Kremlin stance, as well as his repeated statements in support of Russia in the war against Ukraine.

The attacker began to perform the tasks of the aggressor after the dismissal of the region. The detainee photographed Ukrainian objects and noted their geolocation on electronic maps. He then passed this information to his “curator” through anonymous messengers. For the fulfillment of these “tasks”, he received funds from Russia.SBU employees documented the fact that a Russian agent collected information about the location of the border pledge and several checkpoints of Ukrainian defenders near the state border. During searches, law enforcement officers found his mobile phone red-handed with the Russian “curator”.

What punishment awaits the traitor
- Currently, the detainee has been reported on suspicion . A measure of restraint in the form of detention was chosen for him.
- Note that after the de-occupation by the Ukrainian troops of the territories occupied by Russia, the facts of collaboration began to be clarified. There are also teachers among the traitors.
- Also, recently, law enforcement officers detained a collaborator from Bucha, who collaborated with the occupiers at the time the Russians captured the Kiev region.
