Russia withdrew its aircraft to more distant areas: did this affect the strikes on Ukraine< /p>

Russian strategic aviation has been withdrawn to more distant regions of the terrorist country. However, the invaders do not stop shelling Ukrainian cities.

This was told by the speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant Colonel Yuriy Ignat. The movement of Russian fighters came after a series of attacks on Ukrainian drones at enemy military airfields.

How the withdrawal of Russian aviation affects shelling

According to Ignat, although now Russian strategic aviation has been withdrawn to more distant areas, in particular Murmansk, this is almost never makes it more difficult for the invaders to strike with X-series air-launched missiles. Bombers fly to the area of the Caspian Sea from different airfields and attack our cities from there.

Also, the invaders are now hitting Kyiv and the border regions of Ukraine from the new S-400 air defense systems. In particular, they are located on the territory of Belarus and the Bryansk region. This happened on December 31 and January 14.

S-400s fire at ground targets at a range of up to 230 kilometers. The flight time is so short that they simply do not have time to announce an air raid alert. This can be prevented only by preventive defeats of these systems, relying on intelligence data.

They should be destroyed in position using various means, including attack drones, – Ignat emphasized.

Ukraine wants to get fighters: what is known

  • The West finally decided to transfer to the Defense Forces tanks. However, now Ukraine is seeking to obtain aviation and long-range missiles – these are weapons that partners have so far refused to provide to our military.
  • Recently, Politico published a message that European countries are discussing the supply of fighter jets to Ukraine. The allies were divided on this issue.
  • For example, in the Netherlands they said that they would consider the possibility of supplying our state with F-16 fighters. And German Chancellor Olaf Scholz ruled out the possibility of providing the Armed Forces with fighter jets.
  • Most importantly, the United States does not rule out the supply of F-16s to Ukraine. They said they are open to negotiations, although they are being cautious.
  • The position of the United States will be key, because the F-16s are made there. Therefore, all permits, including those for re-export, will go through Washington.
