Polish Prime Minister stressed that the Russians will try to encircle Ukrainian troops in Donbas . Morawiecki stressed that the West needs to continue to impose new sanctions and help Ukraine with weapons.
I see a regrouping, a reorganization of Russian troops. I think that they will try to encircle the Ukrainian forces very soon, in particular, in the Donbass. And then, having seized a third of the land in Ukraine, they will want to negotiate from a very strong position,” Morawiecki said.
The Polish prime minister also noted that the Russian ruble rate shows that Russia is still ready to fight in the coming weeks or, possibly months.
Morawiecki noted that the Ukrainians are fighting against the invaders with a “lion's heart”. However, the West, in particular the United States, urgently needs to increase the supply of weapons. The head of the Polish government urged not to delay.
