The Russian Ministry of Defense will send even less equipment and people to the parade on May 9, where Putin loves to clink weapons, than last year.
The local Ministry of Defense is not going to explain the real reasons why the current parade will be less numerous. They seem to be assuring that everything is according to plan
How much the parade will “shrink”
There will be fewer people and less equipment. Judging by the information about the composition of the parade columns, 129 units of military equipment will participate in the 2022 parade. While in 2021, 191 military vehicles participated in it.
Approximately 10,000 people will march across the square on foot.Children from the “Putin Youth” – the paramilitary movement “Yunarmiya” – should even be stuffed here. While 12 thousand people took part in the parade in 2021.

- 2S35 Koalitsiya-SV self-propelled artillery mounts,
- TOS-heavy flamethrower systems 1A “Solntsepek”– they are just participating in hostilities in Ukraine.

- anti-aircraft complex “Pantsir-S” – Russians they are also used in war,
- as well as all vehicles of the National Guard.
The real reason why the parade will be less numerous
It is known that in Russia hide losses in the war in Ukraine. Therefore, it is obvious that there is no one to go to show off weapons, since many Russian soldiers are already dead. So children should be sent.
Attention! Since the start of Russia's full-scale military aggression, its army has lost 23,000 soldiers in Ukraine. In Russia, they say that they “do not know the exact number.” They officially reported only on March 25, and then they talked about the death of 1,351 servicemen.
The current May 9 is “special”
- Every year on May 9, the Russians arranged a literally enchanting holiday in honor of the “victory over Nazism” . Instead of the slogans “Never again!”, the Russians used “We can do it again!”
- But this year's May 9 celebration will be very different. For example, in Latvia, instead of Victory Day, there will be a day of mourning for all Ukrainians who died in the war with Russia.
- The traditional parade of veterans has been canceled in Israel. Also, the parade will not be held by Kazakhstan. Even in the unrecognized Transnistria, there will be no parade this year.
- It should be noted that according to intelligence data, Russians kidnap men of military age in the temporarily occupied territories. They can be used on May 9 as “prisoners of war”.
