The invaders do not stop trying to create problems for the Ukrainian military. Alexander Musienko, head of the Center for Military Legal Research, told Channel 24 about this. In his opinion, their task is to deplete the forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, creating new traps like the one in Bakhmut.
The military expert emphasized that the further actions of the Russians would be as follows:
- additionally mobilize a certain number of people;
- continue to create battalion-tactical groups, settle them, and arm, as already succeeded – for whom there will be enough weapons, for whom – not;
- throw a large number of mobilized in the attack.
Russians are stubborn in their madness
“Today, the role of Russian mobilized is to compensate for the lack of heavy weapons and artillery in some areas. There is an expression” to throw corpses, “that is what Russia is trying to do now,” he said.
In his opinion, we can say that this is not effective and does not pose a threat, but there are several important factors:
- it slows down the offensive actions of the Ukrainian troops, because that's how it works;
- this is a certain resource – even if the Russian military leadership cynically abandons people, they will do something;
- Russia is also counting on Shahed attacks and missile strikes.
“They are still stubborn in their madness that they can achieve something with this,” Musienko said.

According to him, the enemy had another failed calculation. According to their plans, Bakhmut should become such an abyss for the Ukrainian army, where there should have been constant military operations. Russian forces were depleted there, but so were Ukrainian ones.
Ukraine must constantly transfer reinforcements there, without being able to form strike groups in other directions. But the Ukrainian forces were able to repel the threatening enemy attacks on Bakhmut. Although the enemy still continues to attack the city, the expert emphasized.
He noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine also continued fighting in the direction of Kremennaya, although the enemy overturned reinforcements there. They inflict powerful strikes in the southern direction and destroy a large number of invaders – several hundred a day.
“The enemy did not drag us into a trap. But this means that in the future he will not come up with new traps, which he considers ingenious and strategic, and which, in his opinion, should lead to a weakening of the Ukrainian army,” Oleksandr Musiyenko stressed.
