NATO analysts believe that Russia will not be able to go on the offensive in Ukraine in the coming months.
A high-ranking official of the North Atlantic bloc spoke about this on condition of anonymity.
— Whatever the tactical situation now, it seems unlikely that Russia will be able to launch a significant offensive operation in the spring, — said the NATO representative in Brussels.
One of the reasons why the Alliance does not see such a threat — this is the absence of a new wave of mobilization in Russia. The Kremlin, of course, is carrying out the so-called covert mobilization, but its pace and volume are insufficient for a new invasion.

—In order to sustain a serious offensive, Russia would need to carry out a wave of mobilization. But Putin doesn’t want to do this, at least until the elections,” the NATO official concluded.
However, the North Atlantic bloc has no preliminary information whether mobilization will begin after the elections, which will indicate the beginning of preparations for further actions.
