Russia could lose millions of troops and spend decades if it really intends to completely capture the Donetsk region.
This was stated by the spokesman for the operational-strategic group of forces Khortytsia, Viktor Tregubov, on the air of the United News telethon.

“Approximately, as we thought, in a few decades and several million losses they could have managed to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk region,” he noted.
According to Tregubov, despite a certain advance of Russian troops in certain directions, the price of this offensive is hundreds of thousands of deaths on the Russian side.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces note that even an impossible goal does not stop the aggressor – the Russian Federation continues to try to put pressure on Ukraine and its international partners by terrorizing the civilian population.
