The constant flights of Shahed-type drones are an element of enemy reconnaissance. At the same time, by increasing their production, Russia is seeking to enter a round-the-clock air strike mode.
This was stated by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council Andrey Kovalenko.

— For Russians, Shaheeds remain precisely a short-range strike weapon. As for long-range ones, their main function is reconnaissance. Increasing the production of cans also has its own goal — they want to enter an almost round-the-clock attack mode in the future, so that alarms in the regions become habitual, — he notes.
