Russia wants to drag Laos into war against Ukraine: GUR explained how exactly

by alex

Against the backdrop of major combat losses and depleted resources, the Kremlin is looking for ways to prolong its aggression against Ukraine, trying to draw new partners into the war under the guise of humanitarian projects in the regions of Russia bordering Ukraine.

This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The Kremlin is trying to drag Laos into a war against Ukraine

According to the GUR, the next country that Russia is trying to involve in its aggression is Laos. The Kremlin is organizing the dispatch of a joint detachment of engineering troops of the Lao People's Army to clear territories in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.

Given Laos's dependence on external aid, its leadership already at the initial stage declared its readiness to send up to 50 military sappers to Russia to participate in warm-up operations.

In addition, Laos provides free assistance to Russia by organizing the rehabilitation of wounded Russian soldiers who participated in military operations against Ukraine.

Thus, Russia, hiding behind humanitarian rhetoric, is trying to legalize the presence of foreign troops on its territory and, in fact, use them to support military operations against Ukraine.

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continues to record facts of international complicity in armed aggression against our state.
