Russia Wants to Attract China to Construction of Port and Railway in Crimea – SVR

Russia wants to build a port and a railway in the temporarily occupied Crimea with the help of China.

The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (SVR) reported this on its Telegram channel.

Russia Attracts Chinese Business to Construction in Crimea

Collaborator and head of the occupation administration of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov decided to attract Chinese business to the construction of transport infrastructure in annexed Crimea.

According to the Foreign Intelligence Service, during the last meeting, Aksyonov announced the existence of preliminary agreements on the following objects:

  • Kerch seaport (Russia actively uses it for “gray” exports);
  • Infrastructure of Lake Donuzlav (where the Russian naval base is located).

In order to sign the final agreement, the occupation authorities of Crimea intend to invite potential Chinese builders to visit Crimea.

Among them is China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), one of the largest companies in the construction of railways and transport highways.

The total capital is reportedly valued at $10 billion.
