Is Ukraine ready to respond to Russian attacks/Defense Express
The enemy is using their aircraft to shell civilians in Ukraine, dropping missiles mercilessly on our cities. Now Ukraine is actually in the “horseshoe” aviation of infidels.
This was stated by Yuri Ignat, speaker of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during a briefing, Channel 24 reports.
Russia uses absolutely all Belarusian airfields
According to Ignat, Russian aviation operates around Ukraine from Belarus and actually to Zmeiny Island.
That is, the occupiers keep our country in the so-called horseshoe. The enemy is relocating planes from one airfield to another. Their aviation is constantly in rotation. They use all the airfields of Belarus without exception, – stated the representative of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
At the same time, he explained that the Armed Forces of Ukraine can destroy enemy aircraft only when it enters the zone of destruction of our air defense. Today we are armed with S-300 systems. They are capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 70 km.
“Thus, if enemy planes fly into our territory, Ukrainian the defenders will destroy them. Unfortunately, we cannot get them there (on the territory of Belarus – channel 24),” he summed up.
What is known about the S-300
S-300 effectively performs its work against a significant part of the objects of Russian infidels and can shoot down aircraft, cruise and ballistic missiles at distances from 5 to 150 kilometers. At the same time, it does not matter at what distance the target flies – 10 meters or 27 kilometers. The specified complex is already performing combat missions.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, Ukrainian aviation has inflicted 1,700 strikes on the invaders. The Armed Forces of Ukraine were trained according to the positions, compositions, equipment and manpower of the Russians. Over the past day on July 12, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed up to 30 pieces of equipment of infidels.
