The Russians once again literally bombarded the Ukrainians with missiles on the night of March 9th. This time they tried a new tactic.
Roman Svitan, a military expert, a reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, an instructor pilot, told Channel 24 about this. According to him, such actions of Russia are evidence of the desire for genocide of the Ukrainian people.
X-101 and X-155 missiles
Roman Svitan explained that a total of 48 missiles were fired on the territory of Ukraine.
The missile attack today was large-scale, that is, using almost the entire range of missile weapons that the Russians have, he said.
Svitan said that the Russians fired 28 Kh-101 and Kh-155 missiles.
“Kh-101 and Kh-155 are approximately the same type of missiles that go straight along different routes, heights,” he said.
According to him, despite the fact that the warhead of such a missile reaches half a ton, it is easy to shoot down. Therefore, this is a good target for the Ukrainian air defense system.
If the route is covered through the area covered by our air defense system, then these missiles are shot down with almost a 90% guarantee, he added.
The military expert emphasized that such a cruise missile has a small dispersion area, that is, it is clearly visible on radars.

Cruise missiles “Caliber”
Roman Svitan noted that the enemy also used 20 sea-based Calibers for a night attack. Their range is about 2 thousand kilometers.
However, such cruise missiles are also shot down by our air defense system.

In his opinion, taking into account the fact that the penultimate missile attack was on February 16, in about a month the Russians managed to collect almost fifty missiles and launch them on the territory of Ukraine.
Rockets X-22 and “Daggers”
The military expert said that in addition to 48 missiles, another 6 Kh-22 missiles were launched on the territory of Ukraine, which, unfortunately, the Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot shoot down yet.
“These are supersonic high-speed missiles. They have completed their task,” he said.
In addition, the Russians also used “Daggers” dropped from the MiG-31. So this can also be considered the first mass attack by “Daggers”.
Genocidal attack
Roman Svitan explained that before that, the Russians tried the mechanism of pinpoint strikes, the mechanism of paired attacks, when Shahed drones and missiles were launched simultaneously.
But today's attack is a purely genocidal attack, he said.
In his opinion, this is also a political attack. However, the Russians vainly hope that in this way they will succeed.
According to the military expert, pointwise they would probably have more military success than resorting to such attacks.
