Brand “Russian warship, go …!” from “Ukrposhta” was a real hit sale. People stood in line for several hours to get it. But there was a problem with online sales.
In total, such stamps were issued with a circulation of one million copies. Of these, 100,000 were to be sold online. But on the first day of the sale, the website of Ukrposhta went down.
It was suspected that the reason was a significant influx of buyers who wanted to buy the stamp. But the CEO of Ukrposhta, Igor Smelyanky, said that the site was actually subjected to a powerful DDoS attack from Russia. He stated this on the air of the Rada TV channel, channel 24 reports.
“This is the second attempt by the Russians to launch our website. We were ready to attract customers. As soon as we overcome the consequences of the attack, people will be able to purchase online as much as they have left,” said Igor Smelyansky.
He also confirmed the information that the new edition of the brand “Russian warship, go …!” will not. They were released in one million copies.
But Ukrposhta understands the great excitement around this topic. Therefore, we decided to release a new philatelic work as a continuation of the previous issue. The sheet will be called “Russian warship … EVERYTHING!”. It will include stamps with the feat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and coupons, on which the image of the first stamp with the ship is reproduced. That is, two significant events in one issue. Only this time the number of copies is 5 million.
