Russia is constantly shelling Ukraine's border areas. Now, additional equipment has been sent to the Kursk region for this purpose.
The Kursk region of Russia borders on the Sumy region of Ukraine. This was one of the directions of the offensive of the Russian invaders during the invasion of Ukraine on February 24. Subsequently, the Ukrainians managed to knock out the enemy, so they retreated to the territory of Russia.
After that, the Russian military decided to resort to shelling the territory of Ukraine from Russia. At the same time, it can be both rocket attacks from multiple launch rocket systems, self-propelled artillery mounts or mortars, and with the help of aircraft. In the Sumy region, not a day goes by without shelling. Usually infidels aim at civilian objects, the destruction of which, in their opinion, should put psychological pressure on the local population. Among these are a church or a kindergarten, or the territory of an agricultural enterprise. Civilians suffer during such shelling.
At the same time, Russians constantly complain about the shelling of their border villages. This is done in order to escalate the situation both in the region and among the Russian population in order to justify the war against Ukraine.
Now, an additional number of the Russian army with equipment – artillery and rocket launchers – has been driven into the Kursk region. Therefore, it can be expected that the number of attacks on the Sumy region will only increase as a result.
Kursk governor Roman Starovoit has already “boasted” about the “work of the army” when he commented on the latest “explosions” in the region.
It is worth adding that the Russians during their attacks use stuffed with flechettes . These are metal darts 3-4 centimeters long, which are placed in thousands in artillery or tank shells. After the explosion, they scatter over a long distance – up to 300 meters. forensic experts found the same military elements in the bodies of Ukrainian civilians who were killed by the Reshisty in Bucha and Irpen.
Russia is using shelling to keep the Ukrainian army on this sector of the front. such attacks are called “harassing”. After all, this is why Ukraine cannot transfer its military from there to the Donbass, where intense battles are going on. Because it will have to weaken the sector of the front, from where the Russians can again go on the offensive.
Where shelling took place in the Sumy region
On Monday morning, May 30, enemy artillery from the Russian village of Tetkino shelled the border area three times Sumy region. This is the Kursk region. Just during this shelling, flashettes were discovered. Steel rods from Russian shells damaged the buildings and property of the inhabitants in the Shostka district.
