Russian judokas will miss the 2024 Olympics

This decision was made by the Russian Judo Federation, stating that not a single Russian judoka will go to the 2024 Games in Paris because of & #8220;humiliating conditions”.

The IOC website states that in judo Russia received 12 quota places (7 men and 5 women) for “neutral” athletes with a Russian passport. But only four athletes passed the successful test: two men and two women.

The IOC allowed the following athletes to participate in judo with a neutral passport: Makhmadbek Makhmadbekov, Valery Endovitsky, Alice Startseva and Dali Liluashvili.

As of now, participation in the Olympics in Paris has been confirmed by 20 “neutral” athletes. Another 16 have received an invitation, but participation has not yet been confirmed.

Previously, the IOC allowed ten “neutral” tennis players, including Dmitry Medvedev and a fan of the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Arina Sabalenko.

However, the latter stated that she would not go to the Olympics. Andrei Rublev also refused to participate. After this, the IOC conducted an additional check and admitted two more Russians to tennis – Pavel Kotov and Anna Kalinskaya.
