The other day, foreign media wrote that Iran has already sent ballistic missiles to Russia. ISW is convinced that we are talking about Fateh-360 missiles.

This is the weapon Moscow could have received from Tehran. Analysts explain how the Kremlin could use these weapons.

What is known about Iran's missiles

Iran recently delivered more than 200 Fateh-360 ballistic missiles to Russia, ISW wrote.

Analysts recalled a September 6 The Times article, where a source in Ukrainian military intelligence noted that on September 4, a Russian ship delivered Fateh-360 missiles to an undisclosed port in the Caspian Sea.

In turn, US and European officials recently confirmed that Iran had begun supplying Russia with short-range ballistic missiles. This is exactly what the Fateh-360 is.

Analysts from the American Institute for the Study of War noted that Russia will likely use them to attack:

  • energy,
  • military.
  • civilian infrastructure of Ukraine.

“This will most likely happen during this fall and next winter,” ISW experts suggested.

By the way, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation Andrei Kovalenko has preliminarily stated that these missiles can fire at a distance of up to 120 kilometers.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has warned that if Iran confirms that it has transferred ballistic missiles to Russia, it will have “devastating consequences” for Ukrainian-Iranian bilateral relations. What the White House is saying – read the link.
